I know how you feel. I am always so sad to see the summer go. This year was weird here too, plus I really lost month with my back. Started the 3rd month. I am doing better during the day...nights not so good.
My hubby is taking all the plants I want to safe to his office. Last year he had over 40...I am trying to narrow it down this year, ha ha.
Texas must be a treasure trove for old rusty things. There are these two girls on TV that make things out of neat old stuff. They are from California and they bought all kinds of rusty stuff in Texas.
