Getting the Geraniums put away for the winter

I have enjoyed my geraniums so much this year...........I feel I need to put them away and see if I can save them for next year. I am going to put a few in the green house and maybe bringing some indoors to see how they do. I have talked to a few friends about this and they say why bother~~~~ well it bothers me to just throw them out. What are your thoughts?

Evi said...: Mary, I have saved geraniums for years. My hubby takes most of my plants to his office to over-winter. A few years ago I had 2 geraniums that got so big, that two people had to carry the pots. After a few years they got some sort of strange disease and I had to get rid of them. I am with you, if you can save them, you should. It's money saved!
