Why do we love VINTAGE so much

Hello everyone and hope you are enjoying the start of Fall. I have been asked alot from my friends what makes me like or thrive to buy VINTAGE. I have always liked the look of vintage. I liked the thought of the wear and tear that it had gone through. I remember long ago that I was buying a new table for us to have dinner on and the thought of the kids scrapping the top made me nervous..................everyone said to put a table cover over it, well now why buy something that had to be covered up. I stumbled on a vintage oak table and chairs and it has out lasted the kids growing years and the cost was less for vintage verse a new wood table, imagine that. How do you view the look of vintage?
