Thatched Roofs

I do not know about the rest of you, but I just love this roof. I asked my husband if he could do this for me on my little shop. He told me in a nice way that this has to be done by a talented group of people.......................OH!!! but he told me he was talented...............OK! I understand............but just think how awesome it would be to have. I have found myself  loving anything that is over seas.....................I love all that is old from any part of Europe............I would love to win the LOTTO so I can be on a permanent junkin trip...........Nice thought. Have a great day! XO MARY

Hello Mary,
Yes, isn't that a lovely way to cover your roof:-)
And environment friendly too.
In my next life I will have either that or a sedum roof on my little mansion:-)

Have a great day! Hillevi

Love anything old English, such charm and yes, it's a whole other way of roofing done by professionals. Down in Florida, only the native Americans, the Seminole, can build the tiki hut type of cabana roofs you see around the area, usually at bars or touristy areas, a sign of tradition and respect, but a whole different method of roof building too.

Very warm and muggy here in Iowa, as summer still lingers strong...hope my garage slash shop gets built soon so I have a new playground...heehee!
