Playing around with glass containers

Hello fellow bloggers. The sun was out in it's glory on Saturday, but it still was not warm enough for me to work in the yard. I decided to change the contents in my glass containers and glass domes (CLOCHES). I just love them so much, they have a way of making a collection look elegant in a kinda-sorta-way. This little corner in my home has a hand made built in cubbord shelf built by my husband over 25 years ago. I was attracted to hearts and the colors in my home were mauve and blue, so now you can see that it is yellow. I have always loved color and ever now more do to being a quilter and gardener, patterns and color just come to me and I credit it to my other hobbies. "HOW HAS COLOR PLAYED A PART IN YOUR LIFE? Have a great new week everyone.  XO MARY

Hi there Mary,
I LOVE glass cloches . I found one a few months back in a junk shop, and it only cost me £2. which is about $3. I was really pleased with that !!
I'm afraid that I don't use a lot of colour. I have a friend who is a potter whose house is a riot of colour.... and, it looks wonderful.
I am a little reserved when it comes to colour. I even have white flowers in my garden !!!!....although in the summer I do allow pale blues and pinks to creep in !!
Have a lovely week, Mary and thank you so much for your lovely comment. XXXX

Dear Mary,

Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. I like yours too. The cloches are great! I love the table on which you put them. It looks like it is an old Dutch sewing table. Am I right? I can't read the name well enough, but if it says Singer, it just might be.

Wish you a lovely day! Hopefully you can spend some time in your garden.

Lieve groet, Madelief

Thank you for your nice comment on my blog! I adore your glass jars and cloches! I'm addicted to this kind of things and you arranged them in such a nice way!!! About your question...I don't use colours so much...I prefer white, grey and natural light colours at home....white, pale pink and lillacin the garden and...in my wardrobe everything is black!!! But I don't think to be a grey person...I'm colourful in inside!!!
Happy Wednesday!

hi Mary,
What did we do before we all fell in love with cloches? haha

I remember yrs ago seeing them mostly used to covering little artificial Christmas trees with their itsy bitsy ornaments.
Hope all is well.
