Gardening and meeting my new swap partner

Happy May to all you blogging buddies. The weather still was a little chilly out here so not much got done in the yard.........My bleeding hearts are thriving, these were transplanted a few years back and I have come to realize that plants do need to be moved...............I have been in my home for over 25 years and all the plants were planted by myself of my husband. I have been moving things around  the last 2 years due to the plant was to big and it out grew its current location and also I have to admit I created another yard,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,OH YES!!!! so now I have three yards instead of two.........so next time you want to move a plant to a new spot go for it, mother nature takes over and the plant has a natural will to live so the perfomance will be unbeliveable................. Let me know your experience of moving plants, shrubs or even trees..............................and also a special hello to my new swap partner Susan.............XO MARY

Gardening in the Northwest

I went out to work in the yard today, to start off with I have a very large yard so at times I have to determine which area I want to get at first. I have some bulbs just ending there life and some tulips just looking there best. I have a hard time removing all the planters that have last winters pansies in them, when I do remove them I place them in a area that they can reseed themselves. I would like to know who came up with the term DIRT CHEEP. I buy dirt  by the tons..................2 years ago I had a dump truck deliver a full load and I have used it all up..................HOW much dirt do you go thru in a season? Happy Gardening. Playing around with glass containers

Hello fellow bloggers. The sun was out in it's glory on Saturday, but it still was not warm enough for me to work in the yard. I decided to change the contents in my glass containers and glass domes (CLOCHES). I just love them so much, they have a way of making a collection look elegant in a kinda-sorta-way. This little corner in my home has a hand made built in cubbord shelf built by my husband over 25 years ago. I was attracted to hearts and the colors in my home were mauve and blue, so now you can see that it is yellow. I have always loved color and ever now more do to being a quilter and gardener, patterns and color just come to me and I credit it to my other hobbies. "HOW HAS COLOR PLAYED A PART IN YOUR LIFE? Have a great new week everyone.  XO MARY

AFTER 25 YEARS, HERE IS A MAKEOVER

After 25 years my kitchen cabinets got a white painted face lift. OMG!!! What a nice transformation it gave them. I wallpapered the inside with punched white paper that I painted white.  I had glass placed in some of the  cabinete doors and some chicken wire in a couple and then left some doors off of the one above the fridge, this was a in-expensive project to do,  just some hard sweat from me, and a lot of years thinking about what it would look like done. Let me hear how your projects are going.
