Matchbox swap

Hello and welcome to December. I was able to join in the matchbox swap. This was a real arts and crafts project for myself. We had to decorate a total of 25 matchboxes and place a small tinker inside. I was so excited to get all 25 in the mail. ALL of them came in there own little baggie and it has been fun going thru each and every one. I will post each one so you can see how darn cute they all are. I am going to place them on a small tree and cherish them always.

The first one you see in the photo was made by Shannon Linde of Madison, WI. I love the colors she used, she placed a book mark inside that is so charming. I just love Christmas stockings, especially the ones made from vintage quilts. I have several in my home and keep them up all year long. First the beauty of them gets me every time. I am a avid hand quilter so I know the time it takes to make a quilt, second I love the idea to repurpose those quilts that have been loved to DEATH, thirdly they are art to me, and however you use them in your home they simply bring a smile every time I look at them. I also am showing you a hot water bottle cover that is simply adorable. The cold is on our way to the PACIFIC NORTHWEST so this bottle looks like something I need in my home.
