SOMETHING BLUE GIFT

The gifts continue.........here is my something blue gift.........It was wrapped in some pretty blue cotton fabric in which I plan on using for possibly a pillow...........If you do not know already I love to make pear and apple pin cushions. I have a great pattern that I got from MaryJane Farms magazine..........................anyways my swap buddy Susan Rix from Art of Mine sent me this adorable little basket that was hand woven from JoAnne Lawrence. This unique pin cushion can hold pins and I think the special feature is the thread holder. I am a hand quilter and the idea of having my thread on here will make it easy for my lap quilting.............my husband got a real kick how the safety pins were used. This truely is a very special gift for I LOVE all hand made items, baskets, and pin cushions. I will give this one honor by keeping it next to my favorite chair so it will be available for my quilting. Thanks again my new dear friend Susan.     XO MARY
